Hillsides covered with rich forestry and fescue surround the Championship golf course, designed by award-winning Canadian architect Thomas McBroom. Navigate the scenic bentgrass fairways by golf cart to explore 18 holes with unique arrangement of slopes, ridges and hazards for varied levels of difficulty. The rolling terrain was easy to imagine as a golfer's paradise, and indeed when a local couple purchased the property for Hockley Valley Resort in 1985, one of their first goals was designing a commendable championship course that now attracts flocks of players every season.
During the summer, the lofty cream-coloured Hockley Valley Resort, braced with smooth wide pillars and flanked by lush flora, could easily be mistaken for a Californian mansion or Napa Valley resort from pictures alone. Inside, Premiere resort rooms offer a contemporary theme and luxurious bedding. The third floor hosts a renovated 8,000 square-foot spa where guests can relax and overlook the hills sipping a glass of wine or herbal tea before or after indulging in a relaxing procedure.
