Since it opened in 2000, the Rocky Crest Golf Club has met with incredible success and accolades, and was ranked among the best Canadian courses of the modern era by Golfweek and number 20 in SCOREGolf's top 100 courses. Pine, birch and hemlock trees frame deep bunkers and granite outcrops, proudly showcasing the unique topography of the Canadian Shield and coaxing innovation out of the players that take on this 6,936 yard course.
Also available is the Lake Joseph Club, whose similar affectionate approach to the challenges of the Muskoka wilderness led Golf Digest to name it the best new course in the country. Here five sets of tees stretch from 6,995 yards down to 5,081, offering a different playing experience at each deck, and the signature 8th hole requires an accurate shot down a long, narrow green.
Rocky Crest sits on the edge of Lake Joseph and exploits its beautiful locale with a host of waterfront activities. A dock perfect for sunbathing stretches out from the beach where kayaks and pedal boats dot the shoreline and pontoon boats launch out on various boat cruises. There is also beach volleyball and tennis available, as well as a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, and professional spa.
Cathedral ceilings embrace a fine dining atmosphere at Windows restaurant, where you can celebrate local dishes like Georgian Bay Trout or a Canadian Beef steak, while the laid back Fireside Lounge looks out over the water and serves favourites like Hoagies and chicken wings. Golfers can enjoy a peppercorn burger beside the 18th hole or a refreshing drink from the Bayside Patio before retiring to their rooms, complete with a Jacuzzi tub, fireplace, kitchenette and flat screen TV.
