In addition to its iconic 100,000 square-foot indoor water park, Great Wolf Lodge offers an amazing portfolio of family pastimes from story time and mini-golf to amazing cabin inspired family suites and MagiQuest - the world's largest live action game. Not only is it impossible to run out of things to do at the famed park, but the real bonus is the indoor dynamic, which means that you can visit Great Wolf anytime despite any frosty weather patterns.
If you are wondering if your kids are at the right age for Great Wolf - fret no more - there are niche activities for all, from toddlers (supervised) to early teens. But what really sets Great Wolf apart from other amusement parks are the attractions that appeal to your family as a group.
You and your family can slide through 727 feet of rapids (some of it even uphill) and experience a 52-foot vertical drop on the roller-coaster like Niagara Rapids Run. Ride through the park's largest slide together, the Wooly Mammoth, in the same raft, and determine whose eyes are the widest from the photo booth in the Grand Living Room. Tamer attractions include Rainbow Lake, the 450,000-litre wave pool, the quintessential Crystal (lazy) River, and Otter Lake Activity Pool.
Out of the water, there are plenty of other activities to partake in, including mini-golf and arcades to the popular MagiQuest, an enchanted live-action adventure that will have your kids battling a goblin, befriending a wizard and exploring an enchanted kingdom with wand in hand. Meanwhile, parents can have some grown-up time in Elements Spa for adults, while kids can have fun at a supervised activity or spa experience of their own in Scooops Kid Spa. There is also a 24-hour fitness centre and Grizzly Rob's Bar which offers snacks, delicious cocktails and cold beer.
There are plenty of dining options to curb all appetites, from Northwoods Pizza Company serving up fresh pies, to the convenient Antler Shanty Grub that serves up an all-you-can-eat buffet complete with salads, comfort food and kids' faves like chicken fingers and pigs in a blanket. In the evenings, pajama clad kids can head to the Grand Living Room for 8 pm story time, while older youths can finish up business in Northern Lights Arcade.
