Nestled on the edge of the picturesque Peninsula Lake is Pow-Wow Point Lodge, a perfect getaway for the outdoorsy spirit who has the urge to explore or the desire to wind down. Situated on 1500 feet of serene Muskoka lakefront just off Highway 60, Pow-Wow Point Lodge is only two and a half hours from Toronto - ideal for a weekend outside the city. Enjoy a worry-free weekend with breakfast and dinner included and a beautiful view of the lakefront scenery that defines Muskoka wilderness.
Winter is a great time to discover the beauty of Muskoka, and Pow-Wow comes to life when coated with a gentle snow. Guests can explore the lakeside skating rink before indulging in the lodge's dining room, or don a pair of skis to explore the 11 kilometres of Nordic ski trails. The property is also bounded by a six-kilometre interpretive hiking trail if you wish to learn more about the surrounding area, or more adventurous spirits can take on the trails at nearby Algonquin Park.
After frosty days spent exploring on the Nordic ski trails guests can retire to the lodge's dining room and indulge their penchant for comfort food with the daily changing menu. Meals may consist of pork tenderloin or maple glazed fillet; whatever the option, different delicious meals will be available daily at no additional cost. After dinner, retire to the on-site whirlpool and sauna or your in-room fireplace.
Outfitted with country pine furniture, a granite fireplace and a beautiful view of the lake, your rooms in the Beech building at Pow-Wow provide the perfect chance to really escape (WiFi is also available in the main lodge to make sure you remain connected throughout your stay). After active days of exploration light a fire and enjoy the scenery, or relax in the oval whirlpool tub after exploring the antique and craft stores in nearby Huntsville.
