Perfect ski-in ski-out locale
Carved into the majestic Blackcomb Mountain is the Coast Blackcomb Suites at Whistler, the ideal spot to experience the splendour of this iconic region. From this vista, the landscape unfolds in layers; the sky glows with orange and pink hues at sunset, followed by the rugged points of dusted peaks and the deep evergreen of woodlands. With this ideal ski-in ski-out locale at the foot of Merlin's Run, you'll be able to tackle this frosty landscape like a pro.
Winter: Whistler's time to shine
Whistler is a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts any time of the year, but winter is certainly its time to shine. Whistler and Blackcomb, each with an elevation of more than 7,000 feet, sport diverse runs and perfect powder that ski and snowboard buffs dream of conquering. Also, a ride on the Whistler Village Gondola takes visitors up to some of the most breathtaking hiking trails known to humankind (and there are opportunities for bear sightings on the way). The area is also quite a culinary hotspot, so eating and drinking at all the trendy joints is a must.
Master of your own adventure
The comfortably appointed suites offer full kitchens (there is nothing quite like enjoying a favourite meal in a new-found favourite place) stocked with all the cookware and utensils you need to put on a delicious feast or enjoy a post-hike snack. Dishwashers are an added bonus. The suites also contain living rooms, complimentary WiFi, fireplaces and balconies - all the things you need to feel at home and craft your vacation your way.
One of the great perks at Coast Blackcomb is the complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. You'll find various cereals, bread, pastries, fruit, yogurt and Belgian waffles. And, if cooking isn't your forte, Whistler Resort is full of restaurants to choose from for your other meals. The fresh pastas at 21 Steps are delectable (try the killer Puttanesca), while the bison back rib rack at Blacks (may be your first) with garlic mash is heavenly.
