A laid back yet vibrant country full of energetic music, flavourful food and idyllic beaches, Jamaica offers visitors incredible resort vacations, and Braco Village Hotel & Spa in Trelawny is no exception. Trelawny Jamaica is an agricultural town (known for its delicious yams and bananas) that is most recently recognized as the home of famed Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, and it houses spectacular beaches where you can ponder what the fastest man alive must have looked like as he embarked on his morning runs.
Modeled after an old-fashioned Jamaican village, the newly-renovated Braco Village Hotel & Spa is not your typical four star all-inclusive resort. Old fashioned buildings with gingerbread architecture, cobble-stone walkways and a resort town square are reminiscent of a different era; but the old-world aesthetic has been perfectly married with modern amenities to bring you the ideal locale for a vacation.
Rooms feature plush bedding and private balconies overlooking the ocean, and a loaded mini-bar. In order to fully appreciate a true vacation mindset, a drink enjoyed at the swim-up bar is a must. Hammocks and loungers invite you to the soft, sandy beach for a quick dip, and Jacuzzis, steam room and a sauna are available to relax afterward. More adventurous vacationers can opt to navigate the water in a kayak or borrow some snorkeling gear to explore the underwater world. Sports facilities include a soccer field, three tennis courts, beach volleyball court, basketball court and table tennis.
If active pursuits are not of interest, try crafting jerk chicken at a cooking seminar to prepare you for the culinary delights on site, or work up a sweat at a reggae class in anticipation of Jamaica nightlife and the steel drum music that floods through its towns. The five restaurants on site offer local and international selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and snacks for in-between-meal hankerings. There are also seven bars throughout the resort to choose from, so you'll never go hungry or thirsty.
