Trek through the city's streets, passing stacked buildings that roll in waves across the hillsides. Take an excursion to Athens, where you will roam through the pillared Acropolis, perched above the rest of the modern city. It's hard to believe that the pristine white surface of the marble was once painted in bright, radiant colours. Look through the eclectic collection of trinkets, baubles and other fanciful treats in the flea market of Monastiraki, or savour the robust taste of anise-imbued ouzo at a nearby cafe.
