Cayo Coco, located within the Ciego de Avila Province of Cuba, is well known for its dazzling beaches and warm ocean breezes. It's part of a chain of islands called Jardines del Rey ("King's Gardens"), linked to the mainland by a causeway that is extraordinarily pleasant to travel on - partially because the views are spectacular, and partially because it signifies your entry into the secluded paradise that is Cayo Coco. The island is also home to Tryp Cayo Coco, a beachfront resort substantially equipped to cure stressed out souls and satiate those in need of some sun.
The resort features seven restaurants, seven bars and two pool areas - enough choices to satisfy all guests. The roster of restaurants consists of an international buffet that changes on a daily basis, and six a la carte restaurants including Asian fare, Cuban, international, seafood, Italian and barbecue. As for the bars, domestic and international drinks are served at seven various locations throughout the resort, including the lobby bar, swim-up bar, disco bar, pool bar and two bars on the beach.
Standard rooms have lovely views of the garden, with private terraces or balconies. Rooms also come with your choice of one king sized bed or two double beds, air conditioning, a mini-fridge pre-stocked with water and an in room safe for all of your valuable belongings. You likely won't be spending too much time in here, but it's safe to say that you have all the comforts you need to unwind here and get a good night's sleep.
The resort is ideal for outdoors lovers, and guests are free to make use of tennis lessons, water volleyball, water polo, kayaking, and windsurfing. There is a fitness centre for athletic guests, exercise classes, and water aerobics. Excursions off of the resort, such as dolphin swims, Jeep safaris and even dancing to live Cuban music in a natural cave, can all be booked through the resort for additional fees.
