Activities and Recreation
The Freedom of the Seas had families in mind when it was being built, and there is something for everyone on the ship from thrill seekers to party-goers, to science buffs. There are activities and events for families to experience together, as well as more niche points of interest on board that everyone can partake in individually.
Family events and activities are endless, from poolside games, karaoke nights and stage productions such as the 'How to Train Your Dragon' Ice Show and 'Let Me Entertain You' Aqua Show. The Freedom of the Seas also features an exclusive DreamWorks Experience with characters from Kung Fu Panda, Shrek and Madagascar at character dining, 3D movie viewings, photo ops and surprise appearances.
Meanwhile, the complimentary, award-winning Adventure Ocean Youth Program breaks youths into age groups for professionally supervised experiences on their own. There are babies and tots programs and a dedicated nursery for kids 6-36 months old, while children aged 3-11 can enjoy video game showdowns, talent shows, Pirate Party Parades and more. Meanwhile, there is plenty for teens to do at Teen-only hangouts, a Teen Spa, and areas with Dance Dance Revolution, movie nights, dodgeball and more.
Food and Drink
The complimentary dining experiences on board will leave nobody hungry. The Main Dining Room serves multi-course meals for breakfast lunch and dinner with top-notch service, while the more casual Windjammer Cafe features multiple buffets and serving stations with endless options. Sorrento's Pizza, Solarium Bistro and Jade Sushi serve the best in international favourites while Park Cafe and Boardwalk Dog House are perfect for casual eats. There is also a selection of fine dining outlets for an extra charge.
Accommodations
Staterooms are a comfortable oasis for you and your family to relax and rejuvenate in after daily adventures on and off the ship. Regardless of the level you choose, all staterooms has a television, private bath and shower, and comfy beds.
Ports of Call
Your family will enjoy a memorable journey embarking from Florida. Notable points of interest include The Kennedy Space Centre and access to Florida's most famed theme parks at Port Canaveral, zip lining in Labadee, Haiti, and hiking through Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica. Cozumel's sheltered coral reefs are great for exploring with snorkels, while George Town is known for its turtles. Of course, lounging on the beautiful beaches at each port of call is also an option.
