With its ancient cities hewn out of stone cliffs and ornamental spires that pierce the powder blue sky, Turkey is a country where you may expect to see magic carpets ferrying bejeweled princes from grand palaces to back alley bazaars. Its fair sand beaches stretch from the distinct countries of Eastern Europe through the island splendor of the Mediterranean and on to the historical complexities of the Middle East. From the age-old legacies of Ephesus and Troy to forward-thinking Istanbul, Turkey is a country that has remained relevant for centuries, in large part due to the vibrancy and hospitality of its people.

Historical Sights
Turkey is a country shrouded in history, both legendary and authentic. You'll have the chance to visit Troy, a place so glorified in popular culture that most people know of the epic love saga between Paris and Helen of Troy. See the archaeological excavations and symbolic replica wooden Trojan horse of this monumental site before heading on to the more magnificent Ephesus. Here ancient chariot grooves and marble pillars brace some of the best classical ruins in the world, and you can visit the Temple of Hadrian and the Great Theatre - the largest in antiquity. You'll also visit Gallipoli, an important WWI site, as well as the UNESCO honoured Hierapolis and all the sites of Istanbul including the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia's Basilica.
Other Attractions
In addition to its history, Turkey is a country rife with natural wonders. Visit Pamukkale, known as the "cotton castle", and enjoy the incredible white limestone cascades that are filled with therapeutic, calcium-rich waters. Another notable site is Cappadocia and the iconic fairy chimneys that rise out of its lunar-like landscapes; enjoy an optional balloon tour of Cappadocia, laying bare its treasures in a new light. Take an optional cruise down the Mediterranean from Antalya, visit the Spice Bazaar - one of Istanbul's most colourful markets - and see the Monastery of the Mevlana Whirling Dervishes.
Accommodations
In Kusadasi you'll revel in accommodations that soar high over the Aegean Sea only a 15 minute walk from the entertainment district, while your accommodations at the Pam Thermal in Pamukkale are located at the foot of a forested hill and have played host to celebrity guests. The Hilton Garden Inn brings impressive brand name service to a contemporary hotel in historic Konya, located within yards of the famous "selma" displays of the Whirling Dervishes that make this city famous.
