Relax on 300m of spectacular beachfront
A Spanish style resort graces the eastern shore of the Dominican Republic and manifests the perfect Caribbean vacation full of powdery beaches and turquoise Atlantic waters. Punta Cana's reputation as a foremost Caribbean destination challenges the resorts that populate its famous stretch of white sandy beaches, but Occidental Grand Punta Cana braces itself with over 300 metres of spectacular beachfront, unrivalled activities, numerous refreshment options and three amazing lagoon-style swimming pools.
Water and land adventures abound
The endless Caribbean skies cast a welcoming umbrella of sunshine across the resort, where a plethora of activities are available to acquaint you with the refreshing waters. Take a scuba lesson in the pool, traverse the shoreline in a kayak, or duck beneath the crest of the waves to snorkel with the tropical fish. If you prefer to stay dry, each guest receives thirty minutes of horseback riding, or you can test your accuracy with archery or rifle shooting. A mini casino and luxurious spa are also available on site at an additional cost, or you can head off the resort to investigate the golf scene in Punta Cana.
Taste your way around the world
Proper nourishment and refreshment are an important part of any all-inclusive vacation, and the resort's amazing variety of food and drink will fortify you for active days on the water, or nurture your inclination for beachside relaxation. Buffet dinners are available, or you can dine on charbroiled steaks at Las Reses, tacos and other Mexican fare at La Hacienda, pasta dishes at the formal Italian Via Veneto, or delicious duck at the Asian-inspired D'Oriental. Snack foods are available elsewhere including the come-as-you-are Beach Club, and make sure to sample a variety of cocktails from one of the eight bars (while listening to a DJ or being squired around the dance floor at Mangu Disco, perhaps).
Dance the night away under the setting sun
At night the activities don't let up. The "Fun Band" exclusive orchestra plays live music several times weekly, meringue classes keep your hips limber, and the open-air amphitheatre hosts a variety of showcases. You can always enjoy the vivid pink sunsets while sipping a margarita or glass of wine before succumbing to the comfort of your Junior Suite. Here a hot Caribbean style meets cool terra-cotta tile floors, and a private balcony, air conditioning and satellite TV ensure you'll rest deeply throughout your stay.
