Look beyond kilts and sea creatures
Between jutting cliffs that spill into the ocean and lush, sprawling verdure, exists the majesty and mystery of the Caledonian landscape. Where a far-reaching history of epic battles, fought with honour and glory, can still be felt as you peer out over the battlements of impressive stone castles, and the crisp, succulent crunch of fresh battered fish echoes the soft whisper of the ocean's lulling movement. Scotland's rich culture exudes both the traditional and the eclectic, from the symbolic hush of enigmatic ruins, to the calm vibrancy of its immense forest glades, to the robust expressive nature of the country's locals. You'll discover new legends as you weave your way through the regal tapestry of Scotland's environs.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2013
Enjoy reserved seats at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo - an extravagant military demonstration complete with bagpipes, drums, marching and more. The festival takes place across the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, with elaborate fireworks displays and light shows. Today, this age-old ritual has turned into a world-renowned festival that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. This year's event is centred around the theme, the "Year of Natural Scotland," highlighting the country's exquisite natural beauty. Participants this year include the 90-strong Brazilian Marine Corps Martial Band, Bavaria’s German Mountain Army Band and a unique Dutch Bicycle Band, in addition to Scotland's performers.
Eat, Drink and be Merry in
You'll feel right at home with the elaborate food and drink offerings during your Scotland adventure. Right off the get go, you will start your adventure with a welcome get-together drink to get things started (there's a reason why Scottish people call their home "the greatest country on the planet"). Enjoy a hearty daily breakfast (except on day one) to make sure you are fueled up for whatever you have on schedule for the day. Additionally, the tour includes six dinners, including a Scottish Highland Evening dinner, Ghillie Dhu Ceilidh with traditional Scottish band in Edinburgh, and Four table d'hote dinners. As for drink, experience a whiskey tasting and tour at a Speyside Distillery (when in Scotland), and tea and scones at Falls of Feugh.
Exceptional sites along the way
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is definitely a central highlight of the trip, however, there are plenty of other noteworthy escapades along the way. Enjoy cruises on the legendary Loch Ness and Loch Lamond. Take in the vibrant city culture of Edinburgh and Glasgow during urban tours. Browse through countless age-old castles and compelling museums to learn more about Scotland's rich history and culture.
